The LJW Announces Another High Profile Speaker at Internal Women’s Day.

1st March 2018

We are delighted to inform you that Detective Superintendent Chaudhri Shabnam of the Metropolitan Police has agreed to join the panel at this year’s International Women’s Day meeting WOMEN SHAPING THE FUTURE on 5th March 2018. Doors open at 10.30am and the seminar begins at 11am.

She is the first ever Muslim and Asian woman to be appointed as detective superintendent within the Met and nationally.  She joined the police in 1989 and will talk about her life, how policing is changing in the UK and how women are shaping that change.

Detective Superintendent Shabnam will be joining Emily Spearman, described as one of the “Powerful Women in Engineering”. Emily is a Jewish Chartered Energy Engineer who has worked in Africa, America and the Far East and will talk to us about her life and the breakthroughs that women have made in engineering over the years. Emily was featured in the ITN television programme “Working to Engineer A Better Future”.

Both our speakers have received many awards in recognition of their work and their individual achievements.

We have two great speakers; please support them.  Please call Tania on 020 7242 8300 to book your place. Tickets are £18 for members and £20 for non-members.
