Date(s) - 11/03/2019
10:30 am - 1:30 pm
Central London Location
We are delighted to inform you that our third speaker for International Women’s Day is Dr Michal Nachmany.
Michal Nachmany is an International Climate Change Policy Expert, who has been working on issues of global climate legislation and governance for more than 10 years.
Since 2012 she has been working at the Grantham Research Institute on Climate Change and the Environment at the London School of Economics, working to provide the policy community, the business community, and the academic community with accessible knowledge resources to facilitate informed decision making.
She leads the work on the world’s climate change law and policy database, and on the Transition Pathways Initiative, providing institutional investors with tools to support the transition to zero carbon investment.
She will be joining Kate Metcalf, the Co-Director of Women’s Environmental Network, who will be talking about women and the environment and Louisa Hoyes from Veolia, who will be talking about sustainability and recycling. Dr Michal Nachmany will be talking to us about climate change and the global picture, what countries are being asked to do and which ones are co-operating.
All the speakers will talk to us about how the process could be slowed down and what we as individuals can do to help.
