Olivia Marks-Woldman, Chief Executive of Holocaust Memorial Day Trust, will talk to League members and friends about the importance of remembering and reinforcing the horrors of ‘ethnic cleansing’. She will be joined by Safet Vukalic, who will tell his story of how he escaped being sent to a concentration camp with his father and older brother. As a young boy he was living in the Bosnian town of Prijedor when the Bosnian War broke out in 1992. As a non- Serb, he was forced to wear a white armband and to hang a white flag from his home. Sound familiar? He now lives in London with his wife and children.

We are delighted to welcome both Olivia and Safet to our Human Rights Day Seminar. Olivia’s mother, Ella Marks, is a past President of the League.

For more information call Jackie 020 7242 8300 option 1.

Friends and family welcome Ticket £18 members or £20 non members to include a sandwich lunch.
