AJEX REMEMBRANCE CEREMONY 2020
14:30 - 16:00
Date(s) - 15/11/2020
2:30 pm - 4:00 pm
The AJEX Annual Ceremony and Parade at the Cenotaph has been a major event in the Jewish calendar since the 1930s. The continuation of this event is essential to remind people of the vital role played by our community in British life and to honour the immense contribution of Jewish ex Service men and women.
Unfortunately, in light of the current pandemic, AJEX will be conducting their key remembrance event differently this year. They will be holding the Remembrance Ceremony as a virtual event online at 2.30pm on the
15th November at www.youtube.com/AJEX_JMA and invite you and your community to join them in commemorating the sacrifice and dedication of our ex Servicemen and Women.
They are also publicising a special prayer for the AJEX Shabbat on 14th November and are asking synagogues, religious services and individuals to say this prayer on that Shabbat.
Please would you pass this information on to your Rabbi, Chair and to anyone else who may be interested. More information can be found on the AJEX website at https://www.ajex.org.uk/ajex-remembrance-ceremony-shabbat-campaign-2020.
AJEX are very grateful for all your support and together we will remember and honour our fallen servicemen and women who paid the ultimate sacrifice in the service of our country.
May we all be able to meet again to parade together next year at The Cenotaph. If you would like any more information please do be in touch via firstname.lastname@example.org.
